Beautiful artwork made by Laura.
“There isn’t any other tree with as much contrast in the bark as the birch. I love the quirkiness of it. As a child I was always fascinated by the ‘eyes’ in the tree trunk. They always looked at me.
The outer part of the bark is constantly renewing. The colours, structure and texture. All birches are unique and irregular in their pattern.
When you make a linocut the same irregularities occur. By using a combination of different types of paper I like to accentuate this. Smooth and rough at the same time.”
The paper is made from 100% cotton, handmade and acid free.
Size: 21×30 cm, 150gr.
Combination of lime paper and tissue paper.
